The anime community is deeply saddened by the news of mangaka Akira Toriyama's death. While Dragon Ball is his most beloved work, he was also known for Dr Slump; find out where to watch the '80s anime.

Is Dr. Slump on Crunchyroll?
As of writing the Dr. Slump series and movies aren't available to stream on Crunchyroll.
However, the Crunchyroll Store offers some Dr. Slump materials, including volumes of Akira Toriyama's manga.
Moreover, fans can find a physical copy of the five Dr. Slumb movies: Hello! Wonderland; Space Adventure!; The Great Race Around the World; The Secret of Nanaba Castle; and The City of Dreams, Mechapolis.
Where to Watch Dr. Slump in the US
Right now, watching Dr. Slump online can be quite tricky outside of North America. However, there are a few streaming options for US-based fans.
In 2021, Tubi, Fox's free streaming site, teamed up with Toei to expand its anime streaming options.
Dr. Slump was among Tubi's acquisitions, with the streaming service obtaining the right to feature the anime show in Japanese with English subtitles.
Depending on their region, fans might also be able to stream Dr. Slump on Amazon Prime Video.
Unfortunately, this is not an option outside of the US, but we'll update this space if the 1980-84 anime becomes available elsewhere.
The late Akira Toriyama's pre-Dragon Ball story unfolds in a fictional locale known as Penguin Village, where humans co-exist with anthropomorphic animals and objects.
The main characters are inventor Senbei Norimaki and his robot daughter, Arale.
An episode of Dragon Ball Super breaks the fourth wall by bringing Arale and Dragon Ball hero Goku together.
Although the anime is not currently available to watch on Crunchyroll, the streaming service's shop allows fans to follow their adventure via Toriyama's manga series.
