The Berserk of Gluttony anime is based on a light novel of the same name written by Ichika Isshiki and illustrated by fame.
Berserk of Gluttony kickstarted its journey on Shosetsuka, a user-generated novel publishing website on January 24, 2017.
The first volume of the light novel, featuring illustrations by artist fame, found its way into readers’ hands through Micro Magazine.
This volume was released under their GC Novels imprint on November 30, 2017.
On the other hand, Seven Seas Entertainment acquired the license to distribute the light novel in North America.
Apart from the anime, the light novel was also adapted into a manga titled Berserk of Gluttony.
