South Korean boy group iKON has been forced to suspend promotional activities after three members tested positive for COVID-19.
According to YG Entertainment, iKON members Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, and Donghyuk were diagnosed with the virus on January 23, Sunday.
After experiencing minor cold symptoms on January 22, the three members conducted self-testing, and the initial results showed that they were positive for the virus.
The entire group was then subsequently subjected to PCR testing, with members Bobby, Junhoe, and Chanwoo testing negative for the virus. While Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, and Donghyuk were confirmed positive for COVID-19.
iKON halts all schedules
All iKON members immediately stopped all their schedules and activities to self-quarantine as a precautionary measure.
YG Entertainment also assured fans that the safety and health of the idol group will be further prioritized and that they will cooperate with the mandated rules and necessary measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, iKON is globally known for their massive hit songs “Love Scenario,” “Killing Me,” and “Rhythm Ta.” Their latest release was the digital single “Why Why Why,” which saw the light on March 3, 2021.
At the start of April 2021, iKON appeared as one of the contestants for Mnet’s program Kingdom: Legendary War. The idol group competed with five other Kpop boy groups such as BTOB, SF9, The Boyz, Stray Kids, and ATEEZ.
