K-drama fans might need to prepare tissues soon as If You Wish Upon Me is gearing up to make its viewers cry. The upcoming series was inspired by a real-life organization in Netherlands wherein terminal cancer patients can make wishes.
The flick, meanwhile, explores the life of a young man who goes to a hospice hospital following a community service order. He joins the hospital’s staff and helps it fulfill the wishes of people who are near the last days of their lives.

Newsen recently unveiled teaser photos of the upcoming K-drama, If You Wish Upon Me.
The newly released photos feature Ji Chang Wook’s Yoon Gyeo Re and Sung Dong Il’s Kang Tae Shik. The two characters meet for the first time as Yoon Gye Re sits alone on a beach. Meanwhile, Kang Tae Shik shows a tense relationship with him with his fierce look.
They approach each other in the next photo while Kang Tae Shik holds his dogs in his arms. This time, both of them show shocked emotions as they look at each other.

In the upcoming K-drama, Yoon Gye Re is a man who starts volunteering at a hospice hospital due to an accident. He already experienced the worst in his life as he grew up in an orphanage before entering a youth detention center and prison.
Meanwhile, Kang Tae Shik serves as the volunteer chief of Team Genie at the hospice hospital. He takes his role seriously and makes sure he knows everything that happens in the facility.
Ji Chang Wook, Sung Dong Il Receive Praises Production Team
Before the premiere, the If You Wish Upon Me production team showered the two stars with praises and acknowledged the co-stars’ capacity to show their best teamwork.
“Their overwhelming performance, which instantly called for immersion, always evoked praise from the staff. Please look forward to their [characters’] relationship and the various episodes they will portray in ‘If You Wish Upon Me,'” they went on.
If You Wish Upon Me will be released on August 10 at 9:50 p.m.
