As The Point Men, starring Hyun Bin and Hwang Jung Min makes its debut in South Korea, the action drama film is set to be released globally.
Helmed by The Whistleblower and Litlle Forest director Im Soon Rye, the movie was released in Korea last January 18 and will be in various cinemas outside Asia.
The Point Men to be Released in the USA and Canada
In a report cited by Soompi, Hyun Bin’s movie, The Point Men will be released in the United States on January 27 and will be available in 14 cinemas.
The same goes for Canada which will also be released on the same date.
On the other hand, the film also reached significant success after hitting its first 1 million viewers.
Per Korean Film Council, The Point Men garnered a total of 1,023,232 moviegoers on January 24, exactly a week since it was released.
Interestingly, Hyun Bin’s movie also reigned at the Korean box office during the Lunar New Year holiday.

Is The Point Men Worth Watching?
Based on a true story, it depicts the story of Korean missionaries who are set to resume by the government through its special agent Park Dae Sik, played by Hyun Bin, and Korea’s most skilled diplomat, Jung Hae Ho, portrayed by Hwang Jung Min after the group was held hostage by the extremist Taliban.
In The Point Men, diplomat Jeong Jae Ho was dispatched along with special agent Park Dae Sik to help handle the situation and prevent it to escalate.
Joining him is the top-tier National Intelligence Service agent, who is an expert on the Middle East.
Viewers will get to see the unlikely friendship between the two as they set out to accomplish the mission and save the hostages.
Apart from the two top stars, The Pont Men cast also includes Extraordinary Attorney Woo star Kang Ki Young as one of the main characters who will play Lee Bong Han a.k.a Kasim.
