Reminiscence Star Hugh Jackman Offers A Toast For His Late Father

Hugh Jackman continues to celebrate his dad's life while mourning for his passing. The Wolverine star took to Twitter Wednesday and shared a video of him holding a glass of margarita. In the short clip, Jackman nods and smiles while saying "quality" adding "here's to dad" then he takes a sip on his drink.

In the caption, the Reminiscence star thanked his fans and supporters who have been there for him and his family while they are grieving the loss.

"Thank you for all your love and prayers," he wrote. "Here's to Dad."

Jackman announced on Twitter Saturday that his dad, Christopher John Jackman "peacefully passed away" on Australia's Father's Day. The Logan star added that while the family is in deep sadness they are "filled with gratitude and love."

He went on and praised his dad in his tweet. "My Dad was, in a word, extraordinary. He devoted his life to his family, his work, and his faith. I pray he's now at peace with God," Jackman wrote.

Jackman's fans showered him with supportive messages in the comment section. Many of them also sent their love to the X-Men star saying they could relate to him after they also lost a loved one.

One user shared that he looked beaten up and his eyes were so red when his mom passed away. The netizen added, "Hugh, I can't say anything that will make you better, I can only hope that time and the love of friends and family make up the difference of the loss."
