  • Key Update: Zendaya confirmed she is taking an acting hiatus after releasing five major projects in 2026, including Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Dune: Part Three.
  • Status: In Theaters / Post-Production

  • Quick Answer: Zendaya managed her 2026 schedule by filming Euphoria at "double speed" and completing principal photography for Dune: Part 3 between July and November 2025.

Zendaya is set to dominate theaters and streamers this year, from A24's black comedy The Drama to Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Dune: Part Three, and her long-awaited return in HBO's Euphoria season 3—marking what is easily the most prolific stretch of her career to date.

After years of anticipation and production delays, the star's entire slate has converged into a 2026 takeover that few actors could pull off.

Making a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Zendaya was asked how she managed to film these major projects back-to-back on such a tight schedule:

"I have no idea," the 29-year-old actress said, before laying the groundworks of how she kept up with her filming, "Good scheduling. A good team. No, it was really— it was quite jarring, too, because while we were filming Dune, I would then kind of go off and do Spider-Man and then jump back into Dune and then jump back into Spider-Man."

Zendaya continued, "Literally, the day I wrapped Euphoria, it was like four in the morning, and I had a flight in the next few hours to go to Budapest to shoot Dune. So, I was like, 'Pack my whole life up in one night, and let's go.'"

The sheer logistics involved in balancing the 2025 production calendars for Marvel, Warner Bros., and A24 required a masterclass in time management. While Zendaya's MJ reportedly has a minor role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it takes guts and a good team to actually fly from one continent to another with limited time to film all your scenes.

As impressive as her work ethic is, it's most likely one of the many personal reasons that drove her to take a breath from Hollywood once her promotions for Dune: Part Three are done.

Don't Be Surprised Why Zendaya's Taking a Break From Hollywood

Fans have recently discussed and debunked the "Zendaya Burnout", but the actress is staying ahead of the narrative by being transparent about her need to rest. Previously, Zendaya told Fandango in an interview that she might "go into hiding for a little bit" after finishing off such a busy year.

"I guess, you know, I just hope people don't get sick of me," Zendaya added with a laugh, "Because I'll tell you what, after this I'm disappearing for a little bit. I'm going to have to go into hiding for just a little bit."

By stepping away at the height of her 2026 success, she is reclaiming her time after a grueling 18-month shoot cycle. Considering that she's the type of actress who always prioritized mental health and privacy, it's no wonder that she's choosing a quiet retreat after Dune: Part Three.

For now, fans can catch her performance with Robert Pattinson on A24's The Drama, which premiered today!
