The new Gundam SEED movie is finally screening in Japan, and with its release, some fans are wondering just how strong the Immortal Justice Gundam in this movie is. After all, this new Gundam is one of the highlight mobile suits in the film.
Alongside Immortal Justice, the film also features another flagship Gundam that’s piloted by the protagonist.

Immortal Justice: One of the New Flagship Gundam in SEED Freedom
Gundam SEED Freedom is an anime film that many series fans have long been waiting for. After all, it finally sees the franchise return to Gundam SEED, an iconic series of the 2000s.
As with most new Gundam anime projects, Freedom also introduces new mobile suits that have already gotten model kit releases. The new flagship mechas in this film are Rising Freedom and Immortal Justice.
Rising Freedom is the titular mobile suit of the movie, and it is piloted by Kira Yamato. As its name and look imply, this mobile suit was developed from Strike Freedom.
Meanwhile, Immortal Justice is the successor to Infinite Justice, the mobile suit piloted by Athrun Zala. Interestingly, Immortal Justice is piloted in the latest film by Shinn Asuka.
How Strong Is the Immortal Justice Gundam? Speculations Explored
Given that Immortal Justice is one of the new mobile suits in the movie, it should mean that it is a strong mecha in battle.
We can’t say for certain yet as the film hasn’t been released internationally so far, but some fans believe it is weaker than other mobile suits from Gundam SEED Destiny.
On Reddit, some fans have been speculating about Immortal Justice’s power as it and Rising Freedom seem to be weaker than the Zaft second-stage series.
The mecha’s power level will be confirmed when the film is finally released outside of Japan. If they are actually weaker than previous mobile suits, fans believe that this is a key plot point that will be explained.
Gundam SEED Freedom Release Date Details
After much anticipation, Gundam SEED Freedom was finally released in Japanese cinemas on January 26, 2024.
Soon after its release, the film became a huge hit in Japan’s domestic box office as it got the highest three-day opening for a Mobile Suit Gundam film.
Currently, there are no release plans for the film outside of Japan.
Given that the film is being promoted on the official Gundam Info North America X (formerly Twitter) page, the film will likely get a North American cinema release in the future.
