- Quick Answer: Alan Cumming revealed his Avengers: Doomsday role is brief, describing the cameo-heavy film as "superhero soup" while praising the positive production experience compared to X2.
Alan Cumming recently opened up about his return as Nightcrawler in Avengers: Doomsday, including his screen time in the crossover event.
The award-winning actor is set to reunite with his X-Men co-stars in the upcoming MCU film, which will see them team up with the Avengers heroes in the main timeline. While fans are excited for them to share the screen, they are also hoping that the original X-Men actors will have a lot of screen time.
How Much Screen Time Does Alan Cumming's Nightcrawler Have in Avengers: Doomsday?

Speaking recently with Deadline, Cumming shared some details about his return as Nightcrawler in Avengers: Doomsday and the screen time that fans can expect for his character.
Unfortunately for some fans, the X2 star admitted that he doesn't have a significant screen time in the upcoming MCU film.
"I’m not in it very much, but I really had fun, and it was a really lovely thing to go back to. It was lovely to go back to something I never thought I’d go back to and have a lovely time doing it. And also, it’s kind of great being a superhero at 60. It’s not so bad," he said.
Nevertheless, Cumming had a wonderful time working on the crossover film, even if the amount of secrets and surprise cameos can be overwhelming.
"This film is like superhero soup. There’s so many of them in it. I just can’t keep up. Also, they’re really hard scripts to read superhero films because it’s all action and then the names…everyone’s got two names…" he said.
"Sometimes there were secret names in it because they didn’t want to let out that this certain character was coming back, so they called them somebody else in the script. It was so confusing."
He compared his wonderful experience filming Doomsday to X2, where "the working environment was very, very wrong and very just unacceptable."
