The manga spin-off of The Irregular at Magic High School by Yu Mori gets an anime adaptation with The Honor Student at Magic High School. Considering that its mother series already has a solid fanbase, the show easily picked up the interest of fans, which brings them to question as to exactly how many episodes will Season 1 have.
The Honor Student at Magic High School is based on Yu Mori's spin-off manga series and it was announced that there would be an anime adaptation by Connect which will be directed by Hideki Tachibana, written by Tsuyoshi Tamai, characters designed by Ryōsuke Yamamoto and Takao Sano, and music by Taku Iwasaki. The show is opened by the song "101" sang by Sangatsu no Phantasia and it ends with "Double Standard" performed by Philosophy no Dance.
While there is no news yet as regards the English dubbed version of the anime show, the show has a chance of being dubbed as it is streaming online on Funimation which is known for the dubs that they produce. Funimation offers one week of early access to the episodes through an active subscription with the rate of $5.99 per month or $59.99 a year.
The story follows a reversal of the plot and the circumstances of its mother series. It is a complete re-tell of The Irregular at Magic High School from the perspective of Miyuki Shiba, the sister of Tatsuya. It will feature how Miyuki would actually hone her powers and abilities as she focuses on her daily life in school, plus who her friends are and how they would help her character progress.
As confirmed by the release of its DVD and Blu-ray, The Honor Student at Magic High School would have 13 episodes divided into 5 volumes of the physical copy with additional bonus features. It will run as a single-cour which means it will air the whole summer season without any breaks in between except the interval for the weekly release.
