Ascendance of a Bookworm begins as the story of Urano Motsu, a bookworm working her way towards becoming a librarian. But this is an isekai anime, so she dies very early in the series. While doesn't get to live her dream in this world, her dying wish, to have more time to read books might yet be fulfilled, in a totally unconventional way!

Reborn in medieval times as a frail 5-year-old girl named Myne, our main character will have a hard time finding material to read. But Myne won't let that stop her. Even if she must make the books herself, she stays true to her bookworm dreams, always looking for more things to read!

Season 3 of Ascendance of a Bookworm will focus on Myne's new life as Rosemyne, a Lord's daughter, working towards her dream of establishing the first printing press of her time.

Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 is going to run for a total of 10 episodes.

This is a bit disappointing for long-time fans, especially since the isekai show used to have slightly longer seasons. The first season ran for 14 episodes, while the second had 12 - a usual number for any season or cour.

In comparison, 10 episodes almost feel incomplete. Though the difference is not that substantial, many fans have expressed their wish for the season to be longer.
