My Life as Inukai-san's Dog is a romantic, erotic, and comedy manga series written and illustrated by Itsutsuse, who also did the art for the romcom manga series Saeki-san to, Hitotsu Yane no Shita: I'll Have Sherbet.
The manga is still ongoing as of writing, having been released in seven volumes with over 40 chapters.
How Many Episodes Will My Life as Inukai-san's Dog Have?
My Life as Inukai-san's Dog is confirmed to run for a total of 12 episodes (single-cour) this winter season. The news came along with the Blu-ray announcement of My Life as Inukai-san's Dog.
The first Blu-ray volume will be released on March 29, 2023, which will include Episodes 1 to 6, with an additional OVA episode entitled Dog Pool. It will also come with bonus footage.
The second Blu-ray volume will be released on April 26, 2023, which will include Episodes 7 to 12, with an additional OVA episode entitled School Festival Date. It will also come with bonus footage.

When Do New My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog Episodes Get Released?
Beginning January 5, 2023, new episodes of My Life as Inukai-san's Dog will be available on HIDIVE every Thursday for regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
Meanwhile, starting January 6, 2023, at 12:00 AM JST, new episodes of My Life as Inukai-san's Dog will air on select channels every Friday in Japan.
My Life as Inukai-san's Dog will air alongside Sugar Apple Fairytale, The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki, and Nijiyon: The Animation during the winter season.
What Will the My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog Anime Cover?
So far, there has been no confirmation of what the anime adaptation of My Life as Inukai-san's Dog will cover from the manga. But given how fast the pacing is, there's a good chance the anime will cover at least four to six volumes of the manga.
What is certain is that the main characters, including Karen Inukai and her pet dog Pochita, her childhood friend and classmate Mike Nekotani, and Usagi Tsukishiro, Pochita's classmate when he was still human, will be introduced.
The first episode of My Life as Inukai-san's Dog is titled Hand, and it depicts Pochita and Karen Inukai's first meeting in the pouring rain.
Inukai-san takes Pochita home and cares for him as her new pet dog as the episode progresses.
Pochita's new life in his long-time crush's home will begin with bathing, eating, and even sleeping together!
