The first episode of House of the Dragon is finally here and people have a lot of questions about the Game of Thrones prequel series now that King Viserys I Targaryen has chosen an heir. So what can we expect in the upcoming weeks? A new teaser offers a glimpse at what will happen in the next episodes of the spin-off show.
The House of the Dragon Weeks Ahead trailer was originally dropped right after the first episode concluded on Sunday night. Luckily, HBO has officially released the teaser and it features some interesting new footage from the next few episodes. More importantly, it reveals what appears to be scenes from Episode 2.
In the premiere episode, King Viserys had to decide the line of succession and was made to choose between his daughter and his brother. Viserys ultimately chose Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen as the next ruler of Westeros and then shared a secret that has been passed on to every Targaryen ruler in the past: The details about King Aegon Targaryen's dream of the Long Night and the Song of Ice and Fire.
In the new trailer, a scene that could be from House of the Dragon Episode 2 features Rhaenyra reading about Aegon's dream which is known as the Song of Ice and Fire. But while the new heir is preparing to take on the Iron Throne, another Targaryen is getting ready to draw blood.
Daemon Targaryen is shown in several conflicts and at one point, he suggests that there will be blood. With that in mind, Daemon isn't very happy about being passed over for his niece and the prince could finally go rogue.
House of the Dragon Episode 2 is titled The Rogue Prince and is set to premiere on HBO on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
