House of the Dragon Episode 8 Brings Back Important Character in the Dance of the Dragons

There was a lot going on in House of the Dragon Episode 8. In addition to worrying about two of the lords of the most powerful Houses from Old Valyria being close to death, it was also confirmed that the younger Targaryens are ready to kill each other at any given moment. However, The Lord of the Tides also brought back a major character who will play a huge role in the Dance of the Dragons.

In House of the Dragon Episode 8, everyone made their way to the Red Keep to hear Vaemond Velaryon's petition to be named the next Lord of the Tides now that his brother Corlys is gravely injured and could die at any time. But before the petition could even begin, Alicent Hightower is already dealing with her own major problem.

A handmaiden reveals to the queen that she was raped by Aegon II Targaryen, an incident that Alicent quickly covers up with the help of the queen's servant Talya. But it looks like somebody else has learned about the incident as Talya later meets with Mysaria, who comments on what happened in the palace.

It has been a long time since we got to see Mysaria whose last appearance was in the fourth episode. However, it is clear that things have changed for Daemon Targaryen's former lover. She no longer works in the brothels and now trades in secrets.

Mysaria's return is more than just an excuse to bring back Sonoya Mizuno. After all, the woman known as Misery is set to play a major role in the Dance of the Dragons, siding with the Blacks and making sure they were aware of the Greens' secrets. With that in mind, we can't wait to see more of Mysaria in the upcoming two episodes.

The latest episode of House of the Dragon is now available on HBO Max. House of the Dragon Episode 9 is titled The Green Council and is set to premiere on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
