The Game of Thrones franchise is making its return this year with the prequel series House of the Dragon which is set 200 years before the events of the parent series and focuses on the House Targaryen and the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war. For the past few months, they've released a lot of promotional materials for the series and now we finally have our first full look.
Ahead of its San Diego Comic-Con panel, HBO has released the official trailer for House of the Dragon where they gave us a full look at the main plot of the series and a glimpse at the political machinations and epic action sequences that we will witness throughout the first season which would lead up to the infamous "Dance of the Dragons," which was referenced in Game of Thrones.

Based on this new footage, it looks like the upcoming series will deliver the glory of Game of Thrones during its heyday and there are a lot of shots that are reminiscent of the parent series. Of course, it remains to be seen whether this series will deliver the same success and quality when it premieres next month.
The main cast includes Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans.
George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal created the series and serve as executive producers alongside director Miguel Sapochnik, Sara Hess, Jocelyn Diaz, Vince Gerardis, and Ron Schmidt. Clare Kilner, Geeta V. Patel, and Greg Yaitnes directed episodes of the first season. The series is based on Martin's Fire & Blood novel.
