House of the Dragon Deleted Scene Hints Daemon Targaryen is Bisexual

There's no denying that Daemon Targaryen is a massive fan favorite in the latest Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon. Played by Doctor Who actor Matt Smith, Daemon's character arc has been a total roller coaster ride starting from being disinherited by his brother, King Viserys (Paddy Considine), as heir to the Iron Throne, conquering the Crabfeeder, and engaging in an incestuous make-out with his niece, Rhaenyra Targaryen (Milly Alcock).

Despite being categorized as a grey character, House of the Dragon Episode 6 saw a massive shift with Daemon as he finally settles down in Pentos with Laena Valeryanand two daughters, Baela and Rhaena. However, one scene from Pentos saw Daemon flirtatiously whispering in a male servant's ear while grabbing his arm, which instantly sparked speculations about his sexuality.

Is Daemon Targaryen Bisexual?

Now, a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment in House of the Dragon Episode 6 deleted scene was spotted by Out of Context House of the Dragon on Twitter. The scene highlights a more intimate moment between Daemon and the servant, appearing like they are kissing. Check out the tweet below:

In Geoge R.R. Martin's source material, Fire & Blood, Daemon is the farthest character among many to being bisexual. In fact, the Targaryen Prince was married three times to three female wives and was obviously non-commital about the taboos in Westeros. In House of the Dragon, even his niece, Rhaenyra, wasn't safe with Daemon's seduction after he took her to a brothel where he was seen "coupling" with the princess.

The brief clip showing Daemon barely intimate with the servant isn't still countable as concrete evidence to assume his sexuality. If ever he is, this might jeopardize the Targaryen Prince's claim to the Iron Throne, although he surely wouldn't even bat an eye. For now, only time will tell whether Daemon is indeed bisexual and if it would be extensively explored in the next episodes of House of the Dragon.
