Although David Ayer's Suicide Squad was a box office success, the film was met with quite divisive reviews from fans and critics. While most people are disappointed with the movie for the same reasons, Marvel's Shang-Chi star Simu Liu isn't really fond of the movie for a completely different reason.

Taking to Twitter, the actor revealed that he has watched Birds of Prey and expressed his thoughts on the film. He did like the film, however, he has very different feelings towards Suicide Squad.

Liu joked about his personal hardships with the movie since the studio had to "block off" the entrance to his condo for a week when they were shooting the movie, making his commute "a living nightmare." You can check out his tweet below.

Before Liu was cast for Marvel, he starred in the sitcom titled Kim's Convenience which was shot in Toronto. Principal photography for Suicide Squad was also filmed in the same location, which could be the reason for such a stressful ride home. That being said, as mentioned before, the actor's thoughts on the film are meant to be humorous.

Now, James Gunn is making his own spin of the film with only a few from the 2016 movie coming back to reprise their role. Here's hoping that Liu will have much better luck with this movie.

As for his Marvel film, Shang-Chi will be directed by Destin Daniel Creton and will also star Tony Leung Chiu-wai and Awkwafina. Liu is set as the movie's main character and is slated for release on February 11, 2021.
