Now, an interesting new scoop claims that despite Warner Bros. Discovery's apparent interest to keep the British actor on board for their 10-year DCEU plan, Kevin Feige and company are still adamant about signing Cavill to a lucrative deal to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to tipster Grace Randolph, Marvel Studios is still highly interested in casting Cavill for an MCU role. The specifics about his potential involvement were not disclosed but Randolph claims that they've been actively discussing roles with The Witcher actor.

It's worth noting that the actor has been heavily rumored to be making his MCU debut in Season 2 of Disney+'s Loki series as Hyperion.

Of course, the latest news surrounding Cavill's comic book film future remains unconfirmed so take it with a huge grain of salt. But could you imagine him ruling both the DCEU and the MCU at the same time? That's something that hasn't been done before and the shock value alone will be massive.

Personally speaking, I doubt Warner Bros. Discovery will allow it to happen, especially with Superman being the DCEU's flagship hero but I guess you can never say never. We'll just have to wait and see what happens next.

Henry Cavill is rumored to make a cameo appearance in Black Adam, hitting cinemas on October 21, 2022.
