There are several mysteries surrounding Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku, one of which is the existence of Gabimaru's wife. Gabimaru regards her as the most important thing in the world, and she is the only reason he wishes to live. But as the plot unfolds, does Gabimaru's wife exist in Hell's Paradise?

Why Is Gabimaru's Wife Mysterious?
Yui is Gabimaru’s wife, and she is the eighth daughter of the chief of Iwagakure Village.
Ever since she was young, her role to produce offspring has been drilled into her, despite her hideous scar that most men would not want to see.
She was betrothed to Gabimaru, and the two of them found peace in one another.
They had an uneasy relationship at first, but as time passes, they sympathize and connect with each other through ups and downs and even over the stench of blood and death.
Yui is a wonderful woman, the type of girl every man wishes to marry, and Gabimaru is living the dream simply by being by her side.
She became the reason for Gabimaru’s existence, to the point that he would want to break free from the chains of her father and live anew, away from the chaos of the world.
While Gabimaru claims that he has no emotions, Yui knows that he is exactly the opposite of his epithet.
Just one loving gesture from Yui can make Gabimaru’s face blush in an instant. This is Yui’s effect on Gabimaru, and we are living for it.
But, given Gabimaru's reputation and his commitment as a ninja to the village, particularly the chief, all good things must come to an end.
Gabimaru requested freedom with Yui, but the village head deceived him, and the rest is history.
He not only became a convict, but he also abandoned his wife, knowing that he would die at the hands of his executioner.
Gabimaru had no idea that a one-of-a-kind Yamada Asaemon would arrive and grant him a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to return to his adoring wife.

Does Gabimaru’s Wife Exist?
Gabimaru's wife does exist, and she is not a genjutsu or illusionary technique placed on Gabimaru by the chief of Iwagakure Village.
This notion began after Yuzuriha stated that Gabimaru must have been under genjutsu, given that the village leader of Iwagakure is particularly well-versed in this technique.
Yuzuriha saw it as a method to keep Gabimaru in the village and to prevent him from rebelling against his colleagues.
After all, Gabimaru is a valuable asset who represents the might of his entire town. Gabimaru the Hollow is more than just a name; it encompasses the entire Iwagakure Village.
Yuzuriha also made Sagiri concerned about Gabimaru's wife. She asked her if she knew Yui or whether she had seen her face.
It horrified Sagiri since she did not get a chance to see Yui when she was on the mainland.
Some other Iwagakure ninjas that helped Yamada Asaemon Shugen's fleet on the island shared the same knowledge.
They claimed Yui was a figment of Gabimaru's imagination, part of the plan to imprison Gabimaru's heart.
Gabimaru's heart, thankfully, did not waver, and he never once believed all of the rumors and lies.
He is aware that his wife is still alive, and he recalls every detail of their interactions even after suffering from short-term memory loss.
Shige, Gabimaru's purported predecessor, confirmed Yui's existence, despite Shige's belief that Gabimaru and Yui's marriage is a ruse and that the two of them are puppets performing a play to conceal the stench of blood and death.

Does Gabimaru Get Together With His Wife?
Gabimaru eventually finds his way back home to his wife, Yui, by the end of Hell's Paradise, despite his ordeals on the island.
This is hardly surprising given Gabimaru's complete dedication to returning to his wife, not wasting any second or minute, no matter who or what he faces.
He stayed focused on his goal from start to finish, and he clearly reaps the fruits of his labor.
Furthermore, even on the verge of death, Gabimaru remained unmoved, thanks to everyone's assistance, particularly Sagiri, who always had his back. He pulls through, survives, and even avoids conviction.
What is most important? He succeeds in overthrowing Yui's father, and the two of them have led a serene and tranquil married life away from the stench of blood and death forever.
