HBO Shows Will Soon Be Available on Unexpected Streaming Service

Game of Thrones is undoubtedly HBO's biggest show to date and its exclusive broadcast on the network has led to it being the most pirated series so far. However, it may soon become available on another streaming service other than HBO Max. Amazon and Warner Bros. Discovery have just signed a new deal that will make HBO content accessible through Prime Video.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon and Warner Bros. Discovery will launch the “Warner Pass” in France, which will include content from HBO and other TV networks including Warner TV, Eurosport, Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network and CNN. Although the move will initially allow Prime Video users to watch HBO's upcoming series The Last of Us, the “Warner Pass” will eventually include existing HBO shows.

The report confirms that the pass will include new seasons of HBO shows like Succession, Perry Mason, The Gilded Age, Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, Barry, Somebody Somewhere, as well as new series such as The Idol, White House Plumbers and True Detective: Night Country. It also includes exclusive access to popular shows such as Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Sex and The City, The Wire, Veep and Chernobyl.

“We are thrilled to agree on a new partnership with Prime Video in France,” said Pierre Branco, general manager for France, Benelux and Africa at Warner Bros. Discovery. “The launch of the ‘Warner Pass’ is great news for the French audience as our fans will be able to access all HBO series and our 12 television channels with a single subscription.”

For now, the service will be exclusively available on Amazon Prime Video Channels in France. It has not yet been confirmed whether the "Warner Pass" will eventually be introduced globally. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
