Productions may have undergone a major delay thanks to COVID-19, but things are finally getting back in gear for Disney+'s Hawkeye series. The show has finally started production, and some set photos have come out online confirming actress Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop as well as another character from the comics—Lucky.
You can check out the photos here.
We don't really know how Kate comes into Clint's life, but it looks like she will already have some kind of archery skills as she is already carrying around a bow. Steinfeld is also dressed in that Hawkeye purple, but she'll probably get a more final costume by the end of the series.
As for Lucky the dog, the comics actually had him as a pet of the ‘tracksuit mafia' named Arrow and he was saved by Hawkeye and renamed him Lucky. As for why he's called Pizza Dog, there is one issue in the comics that show Lucky's point of view, and it's revealed that Lucky refers to himself as Pizza Dog because he, well, likes pizza.
We don't know when Disney+ is going to give us an official look at the show, but we may have to wait until the second half of 2021 to get our first teaser. Even then, there's just so much backed up in Marvel's Phase 4 slate that we'll probably have a year just overflowing with the material.
No release date has been set for Hawkeye yet, but WandaVision debuts on Disney+ this coming January 15, 2021.
