Hawkeye Deleted Scene Shows the First Meeting Between Kingpin and Eleanor Bishop

Hawkeye marked the triumphant return of Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin years after we last saw him in Netflix's Daredevil. When we saw him again in the series, we learned that he and Eleanor Bishop have been working together ever since her husband Derek died during the Battle of New York in 2012. Some fans have been wondering about how their partnership was actually formed. Now, a deleted scene has finally explained it.

A deleted scene from Hawkeye is currently circulating online that shows the very first meeting between Eleanor Bishop and Kingpin sporting a similar suit that he wore in Netflix's Daredevil. You can watch the video here which was retweeted by Kingpin actor Vincent D'Onofrio:

The clip basically showed how Kingpin and Eleanor Bishop decided to form a partnership which was due to the death of Derek, who was working for Kingpin prior to his death. It's a simple scene, but it provided essential information about the two characters. However, it is understandable why they didn't include it in the final version since it might ruin the pacing of the episode and the moment was already mentioned through a dialogue which might be enough way to explain it.

Nevertheless, it is an interesting deleted scene as it showed us that Eleanor wasn't really game with the idea of working with Kingpin, but she had no choice as she knew that she had the responsibility of continuing what her husband started. Another note is that Kingpin was wearing a black suit similar to what he usually wears in Netflix's Daredevil which poses a question if it means that it is now counted as part of the official MCU canon. Either way, the deleted scene gave us at least interesting information that might help us understand the two characters more.
