An abandoned draft script of the original Star Wars film owned by Harrison Ford was recently up for auction. It was discovered in the London rental home where the iconic actor lived during the production of the film in 1976.
There is no doubt that it is a prized possession since it contains material that George Lucas initially intended for the film before they were changed or edited out throughout the process.
Now, the script has found its new owner as it was finally auctioned off for a huge amount.

Abandoned Star Wars Script by Harrison Ford Sold for $13,600
According to Deadline, Ford's Star Wars script was recently sold to an Austrian collector for around $13,600 during Excalibur Auctions' live-stream auction last Saturday.
The script is dated March 15, 1976, and had its original title The Adventures of Luke Starkiller. The condition is described to be unbound and incomplete but it had memorable scenes such as Chewbacca's introduction.
"It’s got his DNA on it. It might even have [Ford’s] sweat on it," Sarah Torode, co-owner of Excalibur Auctions, described the item during the auction.
They also described the script as an "interesting insight into the making of one of the most important blockbuster movies ever made including scenes and characters that were cut from the final edit."
The listing claimed that Ford rented the top two floors of the seller’s house during his stay in the summer of 1976 while the owners lived on the lower floors.
The seller also alleged that they had never heard of the actor or his co-stars Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, who occasionally visit him in the rental home.
Given the legacy that the film has now and the massive franchise that it has spawned, the script is definitely great movie memorabilia.
The script shows how much changed throughout the making of the now-iconic movie as well as an artefact of Ford's earlier years of his legendary career.
