Two years after the second season aired, the beloved animated series Harley Quinn is making its return this summer on a still unknown exact date. As fans are patiently waiting to see the iconic DC villain's next adventure, several details have started to emerge about what to expect in the upcoming season. Now, it looks like we finally have the release window which gives us a better idea of when we will get to see it.
As reported by CBR, HBO Max has revealed that the third season of Harley Quinn will premiere this coming July although they didn't specify its exact release date. The announcement was made as the streamer unveiled its line-up of the shows and movies that are set to arrive next month.
While they didn't reveal its exact release date, it is still exciting that we finally know when will the upcoming season finally air and it looks like we don't have to wait any longer as July is coming in just a matter of a week. However, we don't know yet whether it will be in the earlier part of the month or later on which puts it in a late summer window.
Given that the season will release next month, it is likely that they will release a trailer soon which will give us a better glimpse of the season. It is expected that they will address the blossoming of Harley and Poison Ivy's relationship which was set up by the end of the second season.
So far, the exact plot details regarding the upcoming season are still under wraps although it's been revealed that characters such as the Swamp Thing and the Court of Owls will make an appearance. The Suicide Squad director James Gunn is also expected to do a guest voice role as himself.
