Harley Quinn Season 2 Drops Unexpected Reference to Robert Pattinson's Batman

It's no secret that the second season of Harley Quinn isn't holding back when it comes to some truly surprising scenes. However, it looks like the animated series is also paying tribute to the new Caped Crusader. The latest episode of Harley Quinn Season 2 just made a subtle reference to Robert Pattinson's new Batman.

In Riddle U, Harley and Poison Ivy team up to investigate a new Riddler university. In one particular scene, they have Barbara Gordon tied up in her room but it's the background that catches fan attention. Interestingly, Barbara's room appears a lot like any teenage girls but instead of actors and pop stars covering her walls, it's several posters of Batman (via Screenrant).

Amazingly, this isn't just some old collection of Batman posters, either. One of the posters simply features the simple yet distinct Bat logo from Pattinson's Batsuit. Check it out below.

It's awesome to see that Harley Quinn is already paying tribute to Pattinson's version of the Dark Knight although we have yet to see Pattinson in the full Batman suit (we only got a glimpse at him in that video, remember?). Nevertheless, it should be enough to hype people up for The Batman.

The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves and will also star Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as Penguin, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Peter Sarsgaard. Production is currently on hold due to the Coronavirus outbreak but the film is still scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
