Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey Passes $100 Million in Worldwide Box Office

Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey may have disappointed the box office last week but it looks like last weekend gave the movie a decent boost, as the DCEU flick has managed to make some more money. While still not a runaway success like The Avengers or even Sonic the Hedgehog, the movie has officially crossed $100 million worldwide, meaning that it won't be a box office failure and might even be a sleeper success.

Forbes reported that Birds of Prey earned another $6.35 million on its second Friday, bringing the film's eight-day domestic total to $48.5 million. Add the international revenue and the film sits at a nice $120 million worldwide, which is a nice turnaround for the Margot Robbie-led superhero movie. We're going to assume that the movie will have a few more weeks to make even more money, which is always nice.

Originally called Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), the film was renamed Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey so that it would be easier to SEO search. It's too early to say if that tactic actually worked but most of us are just happy that the movie is doing well.

Currently, there are no plans for a sequel to Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, though that could always change in the future. In the meantime, we have Wonder Woman 1984 coming out in June. Birds of Prey is now showing in theaters.
