Despite Storm's absence in Deadpool & Wolverine, it seems Halle Berry's Storm still has the chance to make her comeback as Ororo Munroe in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as teased by the Academy Award-winning actress.
Halle Berry Teases Potential Storm Comeback in the MCU
While Halle Berry didn't get the chance to reprise her role as the X-Men's Storm in the Deadpool threequel, the Never Let Go star has been quite vocal in expressing her interest in joining the MCU franchise in some other way.
In this case, since the X-Men have officially made their existence known in the comic book franchise, Storm might eventually get her earned spotlight in the future.
When asked to make a statement about whether or not Halle could make Storm return on the big screens in, say, Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars, the star cryptically said: "Perhaps you never know. We'll find out, fingers crossed."
Previously, Halle opened up that while some of the original X-Men cast were called to return in Deadpool & Wolverine, she was not one of them.
Even though Ladypool star Blake Lively appeared interested in having the actress portray Storm once more in the threequel, as Halle said, "'Yeah, if he asked me,' but he never asked me."
Considering that Channing Tatum, Jennifer Garner, Dafne Keen, and Wesley Snipes managed to return through the MCU's Void, it's only a matter of time before the former X-Men stars could potentially be asked to make their MCU comeback, as well.
However, as per the history of Marvel comebacks, Storm combining forces with the Avengers would highly depend on the direction the future films are veering towards, which, as of writing, remains unknown.
If Doomsday does plan to focus on Doctor Doom's Iron Man/Tony Stark variant, the Avengers film would lean more on reuniting the original six rather than adding other variants into the parade.
