Thanks to Disney's acquisition of Fox a few years ago, the X-Men is going to join the MCU soon. There have been questions about how the franchise will introduce the mutants to the universe that is already occupied by numerous heroes. There are also some who are also wondering if the characters from Fox's X-Men films will also show up in some capacity thanks to the multiverse (not counting that "Quicksilver" appearance).
Speaking with Vanity Fair, Halle Berry, who played Storm in the Fox X-Men films, was asked if she would love to return as Storm if she ever gets asked by Marvel. She responded, "I would absolutely return to it, it's a beloved character, I loved playing Storm, and people love Storm. So, I would absolutely, you know, if we could find a version that would make sense, or a storyline that would make sense, I would absolutely do that, for sure."
Berry was last seen as Storm in X-Men: Days of Future Past although she only appeared in a limited role. Alexandra Shipp eventually took over as the character in X-Men: Apocalypse and played her in two more films (including the uncredited cameo appearance in Deadpool 2).
It would be great to see Berry return as Storm in some capacity as she was wonderful on the role and also made it her own when she played her. Given that the MCU is venturing into the multiverse, there is a possibility that the actress could reprise the role or even her other X-Men colleagues. After all, there are rumors that Patrick Stewart will be playing Professor X again in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness so why not have Berry play Storm again?
However, if Storm does get introduced someday in the MCU, it is more likely that Marvel Studios will hire a new actress or even have Shipp play the role again as its universe's version of the character. We don't know yet how the MCU will formally introduce the mutants, but we should be hearing more details soon as they are going through the current Phase Four.
