Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3 Casting News Might Confirm Adam Warlock MCU Debut

The premise of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 might still be a mystery (although there are several theories about the plot) but it looks like the upcoming James Gunn film will be introducing several new characters. Recent casting news may have confirmed that Adam Warlock will finally make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The casting news is actually intended for Christopher Nolan's new project Tenet, which lists Kenneth Branagh, Michael Caine, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Interestingly, the report also confirms that Elizabeth Debicki has joined the cast and somehow states that she is also returning in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. A quick glimpse at Debicki's IMDb page shows the casting as well.

So why is this so important? In the second GOTG film, Debicki's character Ayesha appeared in one of the post-credits scenes and was revealed to be creating a new individual she named Adam. It is undoubtedly a reference to Adam Warlock and Ayesha's return in the third movie could mean the comic book character is finally coming to the MCU.

Adam is not the only character who is expected to show up in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The conclusion of Avengers: Endgame teased on Thor joining the team and it was previously reported that Beta Ray Bill, as well as Quasar, will be introduced in the movie. Needless to say, we are really looking forward to the upcoming MCU flick.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to begin production in 2020 and could be released the following year.
