We're still over a year away from the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's theatrical release but there's no denying that the film is one of the most anticipated projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A lot of people are curious to see what goes down in the third installment, especially after director James Gunn insisted that GOTG 3 will see the end not only of his Marvel duties but of the Guardians itself as a team.

Over the last couple of months, actress Zoe Saldana has been sharing some juicy behind-the-scenes goodies from the set of the MCU epic which at one point even got her in trouble with the Marvel Studios bosses. Now, her co-star Karen Gillan, who plays Gamora's adoptive sibling Nebula is also hyping up the film, and judging by her recent social media post, it looks like the villain-turned-hero is in serious trouble.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the Scottish actress shared the tedious make-up and prosthetic process that goes into her Nebula transformation and despite covering her face in the image, you'll definitely notice that the character has sustained some serious damage. Check it out here:

It's no secret to a lot of fans that the first two Guardians of the Galaxy films both featured a major death from a beloved character and it's become a recurring theme in the franchise. Gunn also hinted on numerous occasions that Vol. 3 will see another character's death and while it's still a little too early to speculate, Nebula might be part of the list.


The MCU's third Guardians of the Galaxy film is scheduled to hit cinemas on May 5, 2023.
