Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Runtime Reportedly Revealed

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to be the next MCU film in their slate and there is a lot of anticipation for the film since this will be the last movie with this iteration of the team and the last one under the direction of James Gunn, who is now serving as the co-chairman of DC Studios.

As we're leading up to its release in just several weeks, besides the plot details and spoilers, there is a lot of curiosity about the runtime, especially after Gunn revealed that it will be longer than both the previous two films which suggests that it may become one of the longest MCU movies to date.

Now, according to the ticket-selling website Atom Tickets (via The Direct), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will have a runtime of 2 hours and 29 minutes (or 149 minutes), making it potentially the fourth-longest MCU film in history tied with Avengers: Infinity War.

This is interesting information since it suggests that we will be able to spend a lot of time with the Guardians in their last movie and they are taking their time to tell the story. It is also helpful for the audience since they have an idea about how long they will be staying in the theater to watch it.

The plot's synopsis reads: "Our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them."

The cast includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, Elizabeth Debicki, Maria Bakalova, and Sylvester Stallone. Gunn wrote and directed the film while Kevin Feige served as the producer.
