The celebrity chef shared that his bandaged face, which covered his sewn-up post-surgery scar, was based on taking action against Basal Cell Carcinoma, a common type of non-melanoma skin cancer that could progressively become aggressive and dangerous if left untreated.

According to Mayo Clinic, Basal Cell Carcinoma often appears as a slightly transparent skin bump that typically occurs on skin exposed to the sun, such as the head and the neck, which has had long-term exposure to ultraviolet radiation from sunlight.

This news comes after he was previously hospitalized after a biking accident in June 2024, where the MasterChef star revealed he had a "really bad accident" while biking in Connecticut that left severe bruises all over his torso.

Though he did "not break any bones" or have any major injuries, the accident "really shook" him.

Ramsay may have spent his TV career in the kitchen, but he has since then been appearing in ITV's Gordon, Gino and Fred road trip series, which usually required him to travel with his fellow chef Gino d'Acampo and the First Dates maitre d'hotel Fred Sirieix, which may explain why the outdoorsy hobby brought him skin cancer.

There are no details as to what kind of surgery Ramsay had to go through, but one thing's for sure: they removed the danger before it was too late.

"Grateful and so appreciative for the incredible team at The Skin Associates and their fast reactive work on removing this basal cell carcinoma, thank you," the Kitchen Nightmares star wrote on his post.

He added advice worth taking, "Please don't forget your sunscreen this weekend, I promise you it's not a facelift. I'd need a refund."
