Goblin Slayer’s Mysterious Appearance Explained
At a glance, Goblin Slayer looks like an undead person with his helmet and armor.
It seems like what's hiding underneath Goblin Slayer is a skeleton head and body, similar to Ainz Ooal Gown of Overlord or even Arc Lalatoya of Skeleton Knight in Another World, but that’s not the case.
In reality, Goblin Slayer is an ordinary human with extraordinary hatred toward goblins. So, don’t expect to see a skeleton head or body since he’s not undead.
What lies underneath his armor is his well-toned muscular body, arms, and legs, contrary to everyone’s first impression.
Unlike other characters in Goblin Slayer who have remarkable armor and weapons, Goblin Slayer looks like a ragged adventurer who can only afford cheap equipment despite his silver-ranked status.
He even uses a disposable sword to kill goblins, as well as a makeshift scabbard!
This explains why Goblin Slayer often receives insults and mockery from not only foolish humans but also goblins.
Even so, Goblin Slayer can put to use anything he can get his hands on. Perhaps he believes that having quality armor and weapons doesn’t matter as long as the wielder is strong enough to bring results.

Yes, in Goblin Slayer Season 1 Episode 12, Goblin Slayer took his helmet off, and everyone who was celebrating in the guild hall saw what he looked like!
At the time, they were all in the guild hall to celebrate the defeat of the goblin lord when the Priestess asked the goblin slayer for a personal reward.
Goblin Slayer is generous enough to give in to the Priestess’ demand, so he takes off his helmet.
The priestess complimented Goblin Slayer’s looks and even told him that he looked much better without his helmet, much to Goblin Slayer’s surprise. The rest of the people in the guild hall were also surprised to see his human face.
It was a very rare moment, and everyone flocked in to see what Goblin Slayer looked like without his helmet. The only time he willingly takes off his helmet is when it breaks or when he sleeps, so everyone is stunned.
One even commented that Goblin Slayer has excellent facial features, with a warrior face to boot!
He has an incredibly handsome face, which pissed off some of the men in the guild hall.
They even had a bet on what Goblin Slayer looked like without his helmet, with some saying that he was a woman and others believing that he was a goblin.
So, What Does Goblin Slayer Look Like Without His Helmet?
Sadly, Goblin Slayer’s entire face is not yet shown in the anime. What is certain is that Goblin Slayer has handsome looks, with his pale but dignified face, muscular physique, light-colored hair, and scarlet-colored eyes.
Goblin Slayer also has a lot of scars, as a normal adventurer does.
In Goblin Slayer Season 2 Episode 2, viewers are teased once again by Goblin Slayer’s face after he removes his helmet due to some existential crisis he has to go through.
Still, we haven’t seen Goblin Slayer’s entire face, so the hype surrounding the time when the anime will show what he looks like without his helmet intensifies even more!
