Previous reports have come out to say that Marvel Studios wants a woman with "comedy chops" to take on the role of Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk, and it's possible that we have someone on the top of their list for the part.
According to Daniel Richtman (via KnightEdgeMedia), the studio is looking to cast an "Alison-Brie-type" for the part; which only begs the question, "Are they considering Alison Brie for the role of She-Hulk?"
Ever since Community and Mad Men, Brie has proven herself to be a fantastic actress. She plays the lead role of Ruth Wilder in Netflix's GLOW, and he also did some fantastic work on the recently released Horse Girl.
At a height of 1.6m though, some think that Brie could be too short for the part, seeing that She-Hulk is supposed to be physically imposing. Then again, if the role is to be brought to life with CGI, I think she could very well be cast. Besides, it would be a fun contrast to have someone like She-Hulk besides a figure like Brie's; not unlike the comparison between the Hulk and Bruce Banner.
I think it's also worth noting that Brie would be the sixth Community star to join the MCU if she would be cast. The MCU has already given us cameos involving Danny Pudi (Winter Soldier), Jim Rash (Civil War), Donald Glover (Spider-Man: Homecoming), plus Ken Jeong and Yvette Nicole Brown (Endgame). Joel McHale was also in Spider-Man 2, but that doesn't count as MCU. Brie Larson had also been in Community, but only as a guest-star.
Nothing solid has been confirmed when it comes to Brie landing She-Hulk, but fans (including myself) are definitely interested.
No release date has been set for She-Hulk, but The Falcon and The Winter Soldier comes to Disney+ this August.
