Disney+ and Hulu have given an official greenlight to the reboot of Glee after months of development.

However, details regarding the plot or number of episodes are still unknown, except that it will be produced by 20th Television and will air on the two aforementioned streaming services. The original series notably aired on the Fox network.

In a September interview, Ryan Murphy revealed at that time that he had already finished the script for the first episode of the reboot and he has been in touch with the cast members.

"Well, funny you ask, cause I just finished the script an hour ago. So, we have a script. Brad [Falchuk], Ian [Brennan] and I, who wrote all the first two seasons, have written something," he said.

"I’ve been in touch with around 10 of the original cast members. It’s very sweet, and they all had a lot of questions, but they all were very enthusiastic about the idea."
