Get Ready for Pokemon Sword and Shield's DLC With These Mystery Gift Pokemon

Pokemon Sword and Shield is getting its first out of two DLC expansions in June, called the Isle of Armor, and fans are pretty pumped for that. It's not yet clear if you need max IV Pokemon to survive these new areas and storylines but we're sure that they will be fun additions to these two games. With the DLC expansion coming in a month, Game Freak will be giving away four Galar Pokemon to fans in the next few weeks via their Mystery Gift system.

The next batch of Sword and Shield Mystery Gifts include Galarian Mr. Mime, who is now available, Galarian Ponyta, who will be available this week on May 28, Galarian Corsola, who will be coming on June 4, and Galarian Meowth, coming out on June 11. Each Pokemon also comes with some fun extras, with Galarian Meowth coming with 50 Nuggets so fans can get a lot of money from that.

It's become a tradition for Game Freak and The Pokemon Company to give fans some free Pokemon when new games come out. We wouldn't be too surprised if they start adding some shinies and legendaries to keep people interested. Support like this usually stops when a set of new games are about to come out so download these Pokemon now, while you can.

Despite a mixed response from fans when the games were first shown off in previews, both Sword and Shield have managed to sell a ton. They are considered to be the fourth best-selling Pokemon games of all time, showing that fans will never give up on this franchise. Hopefully, we can get better visuals and more ambition in the next two games.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are now available for the Nintendo Switch. The Isle of Armor will be available this June while the second expansion comes out later this year.
