George Clooney and Julia Roberts are, without a doubt, two of the most sought-after stars of their generation. Despite being massively successful in their respective careers, the life partners of Amal Alamuddin and Danny Moder were able to maintain the high-profile friendship that most people dream of having.

It is claimed that the friendship of George Clooney and Julia Roberts started when they worked together on the hit movie called Ocean’s Eleven in 2011. The husband of Amal Alamuddin even revealed, in an interview with GQ, the funny way that Danny Moder’s wife was recruited to take part in the said film.

Now, a new report claims that the closeness of George Clooney and Julia Roberts has Amal Alamuddin and Danny Moder seething with jealousy. Keep on reading to know more details.

Are Amal Alamuddin And Danny Moder Jealous Of George Clooney And Julia Roberts’ Closeness?

Globe Magazine, in its upcoming July 25, 2022 issue, reported that the continued closeness of George Clooney and Julia Roberts has made their spouses jealous. The entertainment news outlet even claimed that Amal Alamuddin and Danny Moder are demanding the two Hollywood stars to "knock it off."

Sources told the publication that Amal Alamuddin and Danny Moder are totally fed up and have issued George Clooney and Julia Roberts stunning ultimatums they may make the imminent movie called Ticket to Parade their last. An unnamed insider told Globe:

“Danny’s putting his foot down, saying this will be Julia and George’s final film together – if he has anything to do with it. And Amal has seconded that. Amal and Danny are increasingly jealous over the cozy scenario, and want to see some changes.”

The magazine reported jealousy reared its evil head as George Clooney and Julia Roberts got on like a house on fire while recently filming their sixth movie in Australia with Amal Alamuddin and Danny Moder tagging along. The informant furthered:

“Every time they’re near one another, for a film or social occasion, they hang on each other’s words, laugh and joke to the point where it’s a little obnoxious. The sparks they send off could light up a night sky.”

The closeness of George Clooney and Julia Roberts previously triggered reports they were more than friends, which allegedly added to their partners’ unease. A blabber went on:

“Word is, they hooked up years ago when they were both single and fancy-free, and they still carry a torch for each other. Of course, they’re both married with children and totally devoted to their spouses and family life. But they still enjoy a bit of harmless flirting. Julia’s infectious laughter goes up an octave whenever George is around. The only reason Julia decided to do Ticket to Paradise was [that] George was in it. It’s her first rom-com in 20 years, and she literally jumped at the chance.”

However, despite the alleged complaints of Amal Alamuddin and Danny Moder, George Clooney and Julia Roberts are reportedly saying “business is business” and claiming they are just best friends, so there is “nothing to get worried about.” The same source noted:

“When Julia and George get on the promo trail for Ticket to Paradise later this summer, it’s likely to get really hectic – because these two are electric together.”

Globe previously claimed that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin had marital issues. It reported that the Lebanese-British barrister had to put up with a lot being married to George, though the Tomorrowland star has done his best to conform to his wife’s rules, such as giving up partying and motorcycle riding.

An informant told the publication:

“However, he’s still a huge flirt. Julia just brings it out of him. And Julia tends to wear pants in her relationship, and Danny’s always gone along with what she wants to keep the peace. It’s no secret they’ve had issues due to Julia’s bossiness and Danny’s surf bum ways.”

In 2020, George Clooney gushed Julia Roberts, “was spectacular to work with and is a dear friend.” The Money Monster actress also once noted they she and George just “keep stitching“ their lives closer together and even recalled telling his co-star she is thankful that they really do like each other – or they would be in hell.

George Clooney believes he and Julia Roberts have even bonded closer because they have families. The Gravity star shares five-year-old twins Ella and Alexander with Amal Alamuddin.

Both George Clooney and Julia Roberts have yet to comment on the claims that Amal Alamuddin and Danny Moder are jealous of their close friendship. So, devoted supporters of the two Hollywood stars should take all these unverified claims with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.

George Clooney Named One Of Kennedy Center Honorees Alongside Amy Grant And U2

Meanwhile, George Clooney was named as one of the artists to receive this year’s Kennedy Center Honors in December.

The John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts announced Thursday that the husband of Amal Alamuddin, alongside Irish rock band U2, singers Gladys Knight and Amy Grant, and composer Tania Leon are being honored this year.

For starters, the center generally honors five people annually for influencing American culture through arts. Kennedy Center President Deborah F. Rutter said, in an interview, that her group has “worked really hard to think about ‘are we including all of the performing arts?” as it hands out its awards.

Comparing the inclusion of Amy Grant to the center’s honoring of LL Cool J in 2007, she stated:

“We’ve had gospel before. We’ve had plenty of R&B and soul. ... We’ve had country music, but we haven’t necessarily had Amy Grant and Christian pop in the same way.”

George Clooney, who portrayed Danny Ocean in Ocean’s Eleven and its sequels, would not need to mastermind any sort of a scheme to bring home the Kennedy Center award. As a matter of fact, the better half of Amal Alamuddin has already won two Academy Awards and led bankable movies such as The Descendants, Michael Collins, Up In The Air and O Brother, Where Art Thou?

In a statement, George Clooney said:

“Growing up in a small town in Kentucky, I could never have imagined that someday I’d be the one sitting in the balcony at the Kennedy Center Honors.”

George Clooney also divulged, per AP News, that the honor was a “genuinely exciting surprise” for his whole family. This year’s awards ceremony would reportedly include a gala performance on December 4 in Washington, featuring top performers. The show would have a delayed telecast on CBS.
