The fifth episode of Game of Thrones Season 8 is still a few hours away and yet we may already know what will happen to a major character. Someone is going to die in the highly anticipated episode and their death is somehow shocking and disappointing at the same time.

It's no secret that Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 is all about Daenerys Targaryen battling it out with Cersei Lannister. After all, the woman DID provoke her by having her loyal adviser Missandei beheaded at the gates of King's Landing (and let's not forget the murder of her dragon Rhaegal before that). But will Daenerys manage to defeat Cersei although she is seriously short on fighting men (and dragons) right now? It looks like one dragon is all that Dany needs to get the job done.
A leak posted on Reddit almost a year ago has already proven to be correct about a lot of things about the final season. Interestingly, one of the things listed in the post is how Cersei Lannister will die in Season 8. The Queen of the Seven Kingdoms reportedly uses the people of King's Landing as her shield but everyone gets mowed down by the dragon. As the dragon continues breathing fire all over the place, Cersei watches and recalls the time when she blew up the Sept of Baelor using wildfire.
The mention of a wildfire flashback may be important here as there could still be thousands of bottles of the liquid fire hidden away in the city. The dragon's fire could cause the entire city to collapse, killing everyone in it, including Cersei herself.
It's certainly shocking and disappointing at the same time since people are hoping that Cersei will be killed by an actual person (there's an entire list of possible assassins out there). Nevertheless, it's certainly a fitting end for a woman who once used wildfire to murder several people at the same time.
If you're worried that Cersei will die alone, there is no need to despair. The leak also reveals that she will be reunited with Jaime Lannister at the last minute and they will die together.
Does Cersei deserve to die by wildfire? There might be a better end for her than this. In the meantime, we recommend taking these details with a grain of salt.
