Game Of Thrones Season 8 Documentary Gets An Emotional Trailer

It looks like Game of Thrones Season 8 is getting an unofficial seventh episode after the series finale next Sunday. The new documentary for the HBO show just got a trailer and it promises a truly emotional experience ahead.

The trailer for the documentary The Last Watch opens with footage from the last table read with the Game of Thrones cast. Not surprisingly, everyone looks emotional. Kit Harington is shown tearing up a bit as executive producers David Benioff and DB Weiss say "it's like looking around and seeing your family."

There's a good reason why the cast and crew are feeling sad about Season 8 and it has nothing to do with the backlash towards how the last episodes are turning out. Most of them have worked on the series since the first season and it's understandable that they are getting emotional since it will be the last time they will all work together as a team.

The final season might not be so popular right now but there is little doubt that everyone who has worked on the show is proud of what they have accomplished so far. We get a glimpse at Emilia Clarke as she films her last scene with the series. In addition to that, Episode 4 director David Nutter reveals why Game of Thrones is truly special for him. "This is a dream job for a director. This show saved my life," he says.

The documentary is directed by Jeanie Finlay and is described as "a farewell to Westeros with the people who built the realm." The Last Watch will air on May 26, the week after the season finale.

The final episode of Game of Thrones Season 8 will air on HBO on May 19.
