Game Of Thrones Season 8 Battle Of Winterfell Was Truly Epic, If You Can See In The Dark

Did you get to see Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3? We're sure you tuned in to watch the epic Battle of Winterfell but were you able to see anything? Neither were we and it looks like the rest of the world is still baffled by just how dim the lights were in the episode.

We already had a feeling that The Long Night would be exactly that: a long (82 minutes, to be exact) episode of extreme darkness as people fought the undead. It was already hinted at when the Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 preview was dropped last week. Nevertheless, we were hopeful that the entire episode will not be engulfed in darkness. Boy, were we wrong.

They certainly weren't kidding when they said that the episode will cover a lengthy battle for survival. However, it would have been nice to actually SEE the battle.

Luckily, there were some brightly lit sequences, thanks to Melisandre bringing in some magical fire and dragons delivering some dragon fire. However, most of the scenes were still woefully too dark to enjoy.

This isn't exactly the first time that a nighttime battle happened in Game of Thrones. The Battle of Blackwater also took place in the dark but still managed to be well lit. Although the idea of fighting in the dark where you can't see your opponents made for a truly terrifying predicament, it also left the viewers squinting at the screen to see the action.
