Game of Thrones Season 8: Arya Stark Totally Stole Rey’s Move from Star Wars The Last Jedi

[SPOILERS AHEAD FOR GAME OF THRONES S08E03]

The Night King was finally defeated and his death came from no one else but Arya Stark. While Arya's tactic of dropping the knife into the other hand totally came out of nowhere, I think some Star Wars fans may have seen the move done before—in Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi no less:

Of course, this type of move isn't completely new when it comes to fight choreography. Heck, the Winter Soldier did this a lot in the second Captain America movie. If anything, it was really cool that Arya was able to take the Night King by surprise like that, and even the audience didn't see it coming.

Personally, I felt that The Long Night ended up being a lackluster episode when it came to pushing the story forward. I mean, sure it was well-made and all, but it didn't really give us any real loss of characters that some people were expecting from the show. Sure we lost Jorah, Edd, and Lyanna Mormont, but a lot of the main characters like Sam, Grey Worm, Sansa, Tyrion… they all actually made it out alive.

Plus there was no way that Brienne, Jaime, and Pod would have lived given where they were during the battle. I guess you could hand it to the most powerful fantasy armor of all—plot armor.

If anything the only real consequence we got from the Battle of Winterfell was the great depletion of forces of both Dany and Jon. Basically, it just made Cersei a greater threat. Now that the Night King is dead, I guess Winter is over, and we just have to look at some final battle between the North and Cersei.
