The latest Titans Season 2 trailer has hit and it's pretty intense, teasing a lot of drama, action, and Deathstroke. We also get a number of plot threads teased, some of which will make a lot of Teen Titans fans happy. While the last trailer was arguably better, thanks to it being more vague about its characters and events, this is still a solid watch and should get DC fans excited.
Opening with Dick Grayson contemplating his place in the superhero world now that he has burned his Robin costume, we quickly move to a number of possible plot threads like Hawk and Dove possibly breaking up, Donna Troy choosing between Aqualad and her people, Starfire getting kidnapped by her royal servants, and more.
Deathstroke also gets a lot of focus and appears to be the main reason as to why the Titans disbanded in the first place. While the details haven't been given, it seems like he killed a Titan or two in the past and it has traumatized Dick and Donna. Grayson also gets some advice from Bruce Wayne, with the two seemingly patching things up, and Dove tells him it's time to "be Batman" by the trailer's end.
Will Dick be Batman? Of course not. Fans of the series know that he's going to end up being Nightwing since he has to rise from the vengeance Batman has dished out and become something better. I sure hope the costume looks cool and that seems likely, given how good Robin, Hawk, and Dove looked in Season 1.
Titans Season 2 premieres on DC Universe in September 6.
