Frasier Crane made his triumphant return to his KACL radio show in Seattle in the recently aired episode 8 of Frasier season 2. It also featured a surprise cameo from a legend to voice the guest caller.
Since the revival was announced, fans have been looking forward to seeing the titular character make his return back to Seattle despite the new version being set in Boston.
What Happened in Frasier Season 2 Episode 8?
In episode 8 of Frasier season 2, Frasier, Roz, and Freddy traveled to Seattle for the anniversary special of the KACL. Frasier also wanted to reacquaint the city where he used to live.
However, Frasier's return to Seattle was derailed by his reunion with his old caller, Lou. It was revealed that Lou's life was in shambles due to the advice that Frasier gave to him before.
By the end of the episode, we were able to witness Frasier go back to the radio station and do a one-off return to his show.
It was an emotional return to Seattle for both Frasier and fans of the series as it is a throwback to the original series and made them glad to see the character go back to his old roots even for just one episode.
There is no doubt that this episode will be the highlight for many fans by the end of the season. It would be interesting to see whether they will revisit Seattle in a future season.
Who Voiced the Guest Caller in Frasier Season 2 Episode 8?
While doing his one-off return to his KACL radio show, Frasier entertained a call from a listener named Jennifer.
In the original show, we've seen some famous celebrities voice the guest callers throughout the hundreds of episodes in its run. The tradition continued in this episode.
Guest caller Jennifer is voiced by none other than legendary TV icon Carol Burnett. She was thanked at the end of the closing credits.
Jennifer asked for advice about her relationship. She wanted to start a family, but her boyfriend was not on board with the idea. As expected, Frasier gave a piece of helpful advice that reminded us of his usual schtick in the original series.
