Sunmi has reunited with fellow former Wonder Girls member Sunye for a special live performance at the January 20 episode of the tvN series Mom Is An Idol.

The two former girl group members performed Sunmi’s hit 2017 single “Gashina.” On a special segment titled BFF Concert, the members of the show were tasked to invite personal friends to do a collaboration stage with them.

Sunye asked the help of her ex-Wonder Girls bandmate Sunmi for a collaborative performance which received explosive reactions from the audience.

The two presented a heartwarming duet that has every viewer on the verge of tears, knowing that Sunye officially left Wonder Girls in 2015 after being on a hiatus since 2013.

Before leaving the group, Sunye has lent her wonderful vocals in one of the OSTs for the Kdrama Dream High.

She also continuously performed onstage, with collaboration performances with Girls’ Generation Taeyeon, KARA Gyuri, and Brown Eyed Girls Gain on KBS Music Bank.

Sunye performs with JYP

Sunye also teamed up with JYP Entertainment CEO himself, Park Jinyoung. The two performed a touching version of miss A Suzy and Bernard Park’s “Farewell Under The Sun.”

JYP starts the stage as he sits in front of a piano. His voice echoes with emotions as Sunye takes over the second part of the song. The two then exchanged heartfelt tunes before Sunye teared up at the end of the performance.
