We always assume that being a celebrity makes things easier but that didn't help when Ruby Rose needed to get into an emergency room. The former Batwoman actress has just revealed that she needed to be hospitalized due to complications from a recent surgery. Unfortunately, Rose was repeatedly rejected by ERs.
It's no secret that Rose has gone through a lot in the past few years. The former Orange Is the New Black star chose to leave her CW series after she suffered from a serious injury that required neck surgery.
In a recent Instagram story, Rose revealed that she had undergone more surgery although she did not reveal if it was related to her previous procedure. She then shared that she had complications that were serious enough for her to need to be taken to the hospital.
According to Rose, she immediately "called an ambulance" when she realized her symptoms were serious. However, "it took hours to find a hospital that would be able to take me or anyone." The model stated that ERs were "rejecting taking people and I… and my case was quite serious."
Luckily, things eventually worked out for Rose. "We stuck it out for a little bit longer and we were lucky enough to get accepted by a hospital after a bit of a standoff," she said. She then added that "everyone was amazing, all the front-liners are amazing,"
It's surprising to learn that some hospitals are refusing to take people in but it's best to remember that there is an ongoing pandemic and they are being careful about who is being accepted. Needless to say, we're glad to know that Rose managed to get through her ordeal.
