Flash Villain Returns And Faces Supergirl In New Crisis Set Photos

The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths has been a highly-anticipated event amongst the fans. Filming is well underway, and some behind-the-scenes photos were already shared by some actors from the show. But newly released images are from the set of Legends of Tomorrow, one of the five-episode Arrowverse crossover.

Canada Graphs provided a behind-the-scenes look from the set which shows Grant Gustin as The Flash, Mellisa Benoist as Supergirl, and Reina Hardesty as Joss Mardon, more commonly known as Weather Witch. Also, the source says there's one unknown actor present on the set for the scenes shot that day. You can check out the photos here.

The scenes that were filmed were allegedly for Legends of Tomorrow shot at North Vancouver. There were police cars for National City on set, and the source says it's likely for a scene in National City.

Weather Witch filmed a scene alone where she made motions using her staff, she was swinging it around but there's no telling what she was actually doing with it. Gustin and Benoist showed up a little later. The scene seems to be suggesting that Supergirl was "engaging" with Weather Witch but was "seemingly pushed out of the area" just as The Flash comes in. Canada Graph isn't sure about what happened but they speculate that either The Flash saved Supergirl or it was just a coincidence that the villain leaves as soon as The Flash arrived.

A fan under the username Pagmyst, speculates that Supergirl became weaker post-crisis, which may be the answer as to why Weather Witch left when The Flash helped Supergirl out.

Another "baffling" scene was shot where The Flash and Supergirl are standing together, there seems to be no threat around. After that, an old man is seen standing and repeatedly asks The Flash for an autograph.

These photos were one of the first ones to be released from the set of Crisis on Infinite Earths where both heroes are present. Both of them were also seen rocking new suits for the show.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will start with Supergirl on Dec. 8, and continue with Batwoman (Dec. 9) and The Flash (Dec. 10). The whole event ends on Jan. 14 with Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
