First Birds of Prey Reactions are Public and Positive

Early reactions to Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) have been released to the public and they are fairly positive. Fans have had mixed thoughts about the movie ever since Warner Bros. released trailers for it, with some liking the tone and imagery, while others complained about how inaccurate it is to the comics. While the Rotten Tomatoes score hasn't been released yet, these early reactions do put us at ease.

A lot of the reactions call it one of the best modern DC films out right now, continuing the upward trend of the DCEU. Early screeners have also praised director Cathy Yan so she might be a name to look out for after this movie. Love or hate the trailers, her direction was fairly noticeable during them and we can't wait to witness it for ourselves when the film comes out next week.

Hopefully, Wonder Woman 1984 continues the positive trajectory for these comic book movies since we fans want to see more of these characters succeed. While a lot of mean comic book fans have been crapping on DC's movies - and some of those complaints are warranted - the positive trend of more recent installments has given plenty of us hope.

Ironic how Superman's symbol stands for hope, yet it's characters like Wonder Woman, Shazam, and Harley Quinn who have been giving us that recently, at least when it comes to DC movies. Don't @ me when it comes to the comics, we all know Superman is genuinely great there.

Birds of Prey will be coming out on February 7. What do you guys think of all these positive reactions so far?
