It wouldn't be an over-exaggeration to say that Hollywood seemingly revolves around Marvel right now and as the franchise continues to expand its universe, more and more actors are expressing their interest to join the lucrative billion-dollar franchise. Apparently, that includes Irish star Jamie Dornan who is best known for his role as Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades trilogy.

Dornan obviously doesn't want to live in the shadow of his previous role forever and admittedly wants a piece of that MCU fame that has done wonders for his co-actors. In an interview with New York Times, the Belfast star shared his admiration for fellow actor and Twilight star Robert Pattinson who's finding renewed attention from fans thanks to his role as the caped crusader in Matt Reeves' The Batman.

He said: "I would be lying if I didn’t admit that I feel like him and his people have played it really cleverly. Everything he’s done since ‘Twilight’ has been really smart and beautifully crafted, and those films aren’t financed on his name had he not been in these movies that made billions of dollars."

The website also reveals that Dornan has been in negotiations with Marvel Studios for a potential role in the MCU. While they didn't share a specific quote from the actor, NY Times notes: "Dornan is open about the movies he covets, and he has met with the Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige about donning a cape and tights."

An actor like Jamie Dornan would be a good fit in the MCU considering his overall look and assuming he's still in talks with the studio, it wouldn't be farfetched to think that we could see him in a Marvel project as early as Phase 5. Now, the real question is, which character should he play? I'm not saying it's happening but I definitely see him becoming part of the X-Men reboot as either a hero or a villain. Let's see what happens in the future.

Speaking of the mutants, Marvel Studios is currently working on the continuation of the X-Men Animated Series.
