Far From Home Director Isn't Sure How Spider-Man Trilogy Will End

We're still a few days away from the premiere of Spider-Man: Far From Home but people are already wondering what will happen next for Peter Parker. However, it's probably best not to ask director Jon Watts how the current Spider-Man trilogy will end because he has no idea about Peter's future.

Watts was recently asked by Screen Rant how Peter's character arc will conclude in the trilogy's final movie but the Far From Home director stated that he doesn't know that just yet.

"I mean, I try to think about it one movie at a time. We're definitely telling the story of this kid growing up, and we end the movie putting him in a very unique spot that we really haven't seen Spider-Man in before in the films. So, I don't know. For me, I'll wait until the next one to start to figure out how we're going to get to where I want it to end," Watts said.

It's a safe answer (to avoid spoilers) as well as a practical one considering that Far From Home is a huge project. In addition to being the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, it's also the first MCU movie after Avengers: Endgame. While fans are hoping that the film will reveal a lot about what happened after the death of Tony Stark, Watts clearly wants to focus on how everything affected Peter.

But what can people expect in Far From Home? There have been speculations that the film will reintroduce Spider-Man villain Norman Osborn and how he could be the next Big Bad in the MCU.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will premiere on July 2.
