The entire Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom is buzzing following rumors that Netflix star Penn Badgley has secured the role of Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. The reception to the potential casting has been mixed thus far with some fans still wanting to see John Krasinski continue his MCU journey as the "Smartest Man Alive".
As it stands, Marvel Studios is said to be having a hard time choosing an actress for the Sue Storm role. According to the latest rumors, names like Lily James, Jodie Comer, Amanda Seyfried, Saoirse Ronan, Vanessa Kirby, and Phillipa Soo are in consideration for the part.
While some of the rumored names could actually be a good fit, fans are convinced that the studio should cast Elizabeth Lail as Invisible Woman. Naturally, Lail would have no problems building chemistry with Badgley as they've already co-starred in the first season of You.

Details about the anticipated reboot will reportedly be announced at next month's D23 Expo so we won't have to wait any longer. I gotta say though, I'm totally on board with the idea of Badgley and Lail playing Richards and Storm and it's not like Marvel Studios hasn't done something similar in the past.
If you may recall, Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson were cast as Wanda and Pietro Maximoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron after director Joss Whedon saw their work in Godzilla.
Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four will hit cinemas on November 8, 2024.
